Description

14 and 14A Market Place is a shop with a flat above, likely built in the early 17th century after the fire of 1616. The building features a rendered and colourwashed timber frame and has a machine tile roof. It is two storeys tall with a dormer attic. The entrance to the upper chambers is through a panelled door on the left, while the right side has a central 20th-century display window and a 20th-century shop door. The first floor has one tripartite sash window with glazing bars. The roof is gabled and includes a gabled dormer. Inside, there is one boxed beam in the front of the ground floor, but the rest of the interior has not been inspected.
