Description
The building is a Post Office, originally a house, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of brick with a plain tile roof and features brick end stacks. The structure has an L-shaped plan, is single storey with an attic, and has a two-window range. The windows are three-light mullion windows with metal lattice glazed casements, set under segmental arches. There is a timber-framed porch with a gabled roof on one side, which contains a battened plank door. Above the porch, there are two gable dormers, each with two-light mullion windows. Both the porch and the dormers are adorned with ornamental barge-boards and supporting struts. The rear wing has two-light casements on both the ground and first floors. To the left, the annexe (Post Office) features a 19th-century half-glazed door and twin cross-windows beneath small gables on the west side, along with a brick end stack.
