Description
Clive House is an early 19th-century house constructed of painted brick with a plain tile roof and brick end stacks. It features a double L-shaped plan and is symmetrical with three storeys and a three-window range. The windows include tripartite mullion and transom designs with metal glazing bars and central casements, flanked by cross-windows, all set under segmental arches. Above, there are more mullion windows. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door within a moulded architrave, topped by an overlight with glazing bars, and is set in a rustic porch that has an ornamental frame, barge-boards, and a pendant. To the right rear, there is a single-storey wing with a plank door and overlight under a segmental arch, along with a 20th-century metal window beneath a concrete lintel and a brick end stack. The left side of the house has tripartite windows on each floor, and a short wing at the rear features dentilled brick eaves.
