Description

The Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century, with mid-19th century and some late 20th century alterations. It is constructed of painted brick and features a tile roof with a central stack. The gable end faces the road. The building has two storeys and includes a pierced 19th century bargeboard. On the upper floor, there is one window, which is a 6-pane sash set beneath a timber lintel with a stone sill. The ground floor features a canted bay window with a flat roof to the left. To the right-hand corner, there is an entrance with a pilastered doorcase and scroll brackets supporting a shallow flat canopy. The door consists of four flush panels. The Cottage is noted for its strong group value as part of the approach to Bewdley from the B 4194.
