Description

This is a house located at 15 Lower Park, built in the mid-18th century with some alterations made in the late 20th century. The structure is made of brick and features a hipped tile roof with gable end stacks. It stands three storeys tall and has a dog tooth brick cornice. The house has five windows, which include glazing bar sashes under rubbed brick heads on the first and third floors, and squatter proportion glazing bar sashes under timber lintels on the second floor. The ground floor has a central entrance with a wooden doorcase that features engaged Ionic columns and a segmental pediment supported by elaborate consoles. There is an enriched architrave and a fanlight above a six raised and fielded panel door. A plaque between two windows on the left side notes that Stanley Baldwin was born here in 1867.
