Description

This is a circa 17th-century timber-framed cottage, largely refaced in red brick during the 18th or 19th century. It sits on a sandstone plinth and has a steeply pitched roof covered with cedar shingles, with gabled ends. The building is one storey high with an attic, originally featuring a two-window front. A modern glazed door is centrally placed, with modern three-light casement windows with glazing bars to either side. There are two eyebrow dormers at eaves level, also with modern two-light casements and glazing bars. A central brick chimney stack rises from the ridge of the roof.
