Description
No. 26 Birmingham Road is a small former public house built around 1840-1850. It is constructed from sandstone ashlar and features a steeply pitched plain tile roof with wide eaves. The roof has a gabled end on the south-east side and is half-hipped on the north-west side. The building has two storeys and one window range.
To the right, there is a four-centred arched doorway with a plank door and a fanlight above it. To the left of the door, there is a canted bay window. On the first floor, there is a small two-light casement window with glazing bars set in a chamfered opening. The north-west gable has a small first-floor canted oriel bay window supported by shaped brackets. At the rear, there is a contemporary wing, and the building features brick chimney stacks.
