Description

This is a circa 17th century timber-framed cottage with a gable end facing the road. The structure features red brick infill panels and a sandstone plinth. It has a steeply pitched shingle roof with gabled ends. The cottage is one storey high with an attic, and originally had a single window range. Later, circa 18th or 19th century three-light casement windows were added, featuring glazing bars. A timber-framed wing at the rear has a lower roofline. The entrance is located through an end wall, with the timber framing extended to create a small porch on the side. A brick chimney stack is situated at the junction of the front and rear wings.
