Description
103 and 105 Clarendon Street are two houses located in Royal Leamington Spa, built in the early to mid-19th century with later alterations. They are constructed of pinkish-brown brick in stretcher bond, featuring a painted stucco front facade and a cement-tile roof. The buildings are two storeys high and have four first-floor windows.
On the first floor, to the left, there is a canted bay with a pair of 2/2 sash windows that have a central mullion, flanked by two additional 2/2 sash windows, all topped with a modillion cornice. There is also an 8-pane casement window in plain reveals, and two more 2/2 sash windows in plain reveals. The entrances are located to the right of each house, featuring a Gothic-panelled door with an overlight and a 4-panel door with an overlight and glazing bars, both surrounded by Doric pilasters. To the left, there is a tripartite mullion and transom window with an 8-light window between two 4-light casements. A deep continuous frieze with a moulded band runs along the facade. To the right, there is a bay window with a 6/6 sash window between two 2/2 sash windows. A continuous moulded cornice serves as the first-floor sill band, and to the left, there is a pedimented gable on the front facade. The buildings have ridge and end stacks. The interior has not been inspected.
