Pair of houses. c1840. Brick with ashlar dressings; stuccoed to 3 sides; hipped slate roof with stucco stacks. Double-depth plan with rear wing. 2 storeys; symmetrical 6-window range to garden front. Ends break forward with angle pilasters; top frieze and wide eaves. Windows have eared architraves, those to ground floor with scrolls to base, some missing, and end canted bay windows with cornices, all with French windows; casements to 1st floor windows, wider to ends; No 3 (right) has C20 flat-topped dormer; cross-axial stack and return lateral stacks; stacks to rear. 3-window returns have similar details; some blind windows; round-headed entrances in recesses have pilasters, archivolts and fanlights over glazed doors. Rear has sashed windows to wing with flanking round-headed stair windows and end small round-headed windows. INTERIOR has some remaining cornices and fireplaces; stairs with enriched iron balusters. Part of a mid C19 residential development.
