Description

A pair of houses built in the mid-19th century on Gyllyng Street, Falmouth. The houses are constructed with stucco over masonry and have an asbestos slate roof with projecting eaves to the front. Two rendered stacks are situated on the right-hand side. The houses follow a double-depth plan with rear wings. They are two storeys high with attics, and have a symmetrical front with four windows. Moulded hoods shelter the ground-floor window openings, supported by consoles. The original windows are 12-pane hornless sashes. The central doorways are pilastered, with six-panel doors. Two hipped dormers are present with 2-pane hornless sashes; these are likely original, although the glazing bars have been removed. The interior remains uninspected but could be of interest.
