Description
29 Church Street is a town house with later shops, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of painted brick featuring granite-keyed flat arches. The original roof is made of slurried scantle slate and has a hipped shape, with brick stacks at the ends and red clay tiles on the rear slope. The building has a double-depth plan and stands three storeys tall, with a three-window range that includes narrower central windows. The original windows are hornless sashes with glazing bars, except for the first-floor left window where the glazing bars have been removed. The ground floor features two recessed late 20th-century shop fronts. At the rear, there is a three-window range with original hornless sashes and glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected.
