Description
This is a house located at 1 Merridale Grove, built around 1840. It is constructed of brick with stucco on the garden front and returns, featuring a hipped slate roof and stucco stacks. The house has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys tall, with a two-window range on the garden front. Notable architectural details include angle pilasters, a top frieze, and wide eaves. The ground floor features canted bay windows with hipped roofs, while the first floor has windows framed in eared architraves, all of which are casements. The right return has three windows with similar details and a round-headed entrance that includes a fanlight above a glazed door. There are lateral and rear stacks. The interior has not been inspected. This house is part of a mid-19th century residential development.
