Description

This is a house dating to around 1840. It is constructed of brick, with a stucco finish to the front and side elevations, and has a hipped slate roof with brick stacks. The house follows a double-depth plan and presents a symmetrical three-window facade to its garden front. Architectural details include pilasters, a top frieze, and wide eaves. The ground floor features canted bays, with a hipped roof to the left and a cornice and scrolled cresting to the right. First-floor windows have eared architraves, and all windows are casements. The three-window right return displays similar detailing and incorporates a round-headed entrance with a fanlight above a glazed door. A rear wing has casement windows, with one 20th-century bow window. The interior remains uninspected. The house is part of a mid-19th century residential development.
