The Wynns

The Wynns is a house located in Welford-on-Avon, dating from the 17th century with some alterations made in the 20th century. It features a timber-frame structure with plaster infill and has a steeply pitched tile roof, which transitions to a stone slate front pitch on the right side, complemented by a brick ridge stack. The gable faces the front to the left.

The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic, with a single-window range alongside a later two-window plastered range that has a hipped end to the left. The entrance is located to the left of the earlier range, accessed through an open timber porch that includes some leaded lights. The door has moulded edges and wide battens, flanked by side lights. The windows are 20th-century leaded casements, featuring either three or four lights, and the two-window range has a hipped dormer. The stack on the earlier range is adorned with stone quoins and a cluster of four diagonal shafts. The right return of the building has three-light casements and one two-light casement leading to the rear wing.

At the rear, there is a small gabled wing with a two-light small-paned casement. A lean-to outshut is present to the left, made from a small section of rubble, and there is square framing with a 20th-century glazed porch attached to the two-window range on the right. The interior has not been inspected.
