Description
The Scullards is a house located on Chapel Street in Welford-on-Avon, dating from the 17th century with alterations and additions made in the late 19th century. The building features a timber frame with plaster infill and has a steeply pitched roof covered with renewed tiles, along with a brick end stack. It is designed in an L-shape.
The exterior consists of two storeys plus an attic and includes a three-window range, with a single-storey plus attic rear range. The entrance, positioned to the left of the center, has a 20th-century half-glazed split door. To the right of the entrance is a canted bay window with leaded glazing, and to the left is a window with two-light small-paned glazing. On the first floor, there is a pair of windows with two-light small-paned casements, along with a similar three-light casement window to the right. The roof features two 20th-century flat-roofed dormers, each with two-light small-paned casements.
At the rear, there is a short gabled wing with a rubble end stack that has brick diagonal shafts, as well as a lower timber-framed wing that includes a flat-roofed dormer with a six-light wooden-mullioned window. The interior has not been inspected.
