Description

Steels House and Tuesdays are two houses dating from the late 17th century, with additions from the mid-18th century. They are built from squared coursed limestone and feature coped gables. The slate roof has some parts that have been renewed and includes stone end stacks. The buildings have a two-unit and one-unit layout, with a two-storey, four-window range that contains 20th-century mullioned windows and casements, as well as 20th-century doors located to the centre-left and centre-right. A moulded datestone on the first floor to the right is inscribed in bas-relief: 'S/RM/1746'. There are also original 17th-century three-light mullioned windows and the original entrance located at the rear. Inside, the house known as Tuesdays features chamfered spine beams.
