Description
The Lodge is a house dated 1724. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with quoins, and has a roof covered with artificial stone slates, featuring moulded stone end stacks. The house was originally planned around two rooms. It has two storeys plus an attic, with a two-window front featuring cross casement windows with stone flat arches. There are two gabled dormers. The entrance is through a 19th-century porch with a chamfered, pointed-arch doorway, and a moulded datestone above the porch is inscribed with "S/IA/1724". The interior is said to contain beams, open fireplaces, and a spiral staircase leading to the attic.
