Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1724, with 19th-century additions. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone, featuring quoins and coped gables. The roof is covered with concrete tiles and has moulded stone end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories high, with a five-window range. The ground floor has 16-pane sash windows with moulded stone surrounds, while the first floor features 18th-century cross casements with stone flat arches. The central entrance has a 19th-century six-panelled door with an overlight, and there is a 20th-century gabled porch. On the left gable end, there is a datestone inscribed in bas-relief: 'T/EW/1724', which has a moulded hood. To the right, there is a one-storey stone lean-to extension. Additionally, there is a 19th-century two-storey stone gabled range with casements and another six-panelled door with a wood lintel. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
