Description
Butlers Road Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1722, with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed of fine squared coursed limestone with quoins and features a 20th-century tile roof with brick ridge and end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan, is two stories high, and has a three-window range of 18th-century cross casements with stone flat arches. There is a six-panelled door with a stone flat arch located to the center-right. A moulded datestone with a hood above the first floor center-right is inscribed: 'LH/H/RK/1722'. Additional cross casements are present on the left gable end, and there is a stone lean-to at the rear with a three-light mullioned window. To the right, there is a 19th-century stone gabled extension that is one story plus an attic. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
