Description
This is a cottage located on Main Street in Long Compton, dating from the mid to late 18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features quoins on the right side. The roof is tiled and also from the 20th century, with stone stacks at each end. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is two stories high, with a two-window range that includes 20th-century two-light casements set beneath original stone flat arches. In the center, there is a 19th-century four-panelled door, also with a stone flat arch above it. To the right, there is a one-storey stone extension that has two two-light casements. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest. This building is included for its group value with other nearby structures.
