Description
The milepost is a cast-iron structure likely erected around 1818 and re-erected in 2017. It has a cylindrical base with fluting, supporting a tall, fluted cast-iron shaft. The lower part of the shaft features decorative enrichment resembling buds. The shaft supports wrought-iron arms with simple acanthus leaf ornamentation. These arms now hold a modern wooden place name board, replacing the original. Further acanthus leaf decoration is at the top of the shaft.
