Description
The Homestead is a farmhouse dating from the late 17th century, with an extension from the 18th century and alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a plain-tile roof from the 20th century, with brick stacks at the left end and ridge, and stone stacks at the right end and ridge. The building has a three-unit through-passage plan and stands two storeys high with an attic, showcasing a three-window range. There is a plank door located to the right of centre, set within a 20th-century gabled porch. The ground and first floors to the left of the porch have three-light leaded casement windows, while the right side features two-light leaded casements, all of which are topped with stop-chamfered wood lintels. An addition is present at the left end. To the right, there is a three-light flat-faced stone mullion cellar window, with quoins and stone-coped gables that include kneelers. The interior has not been inspected.
