Description
This is a cottage dating from about 1800, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with some ironstone, and has a straw thatched roof, with brick end stacks. The cottage follows a two-unit plan and is two storeys and an attic in height, with a single-window frontage. It has two three-light casement windows on the ground floor, a three-light 20th-century casement window on the first floor, all with wooden lintels, and quoins. There is a 20th-century porch to the rear entrance. Internally, the cottage features chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, and panelled shutters. The roof is of one bay, with a central truss incorporating clasped principals and a collar.
