Description
This is a late 17th-century house, originally a farmhouse, located on Gayton Road, Pattishall. It has been altered in the 20th century. The house is constructed of coursed limestone rubble, with a 20th-century concrete tile roof and brick end stacks. It follows a 2-unit plan and is arranged over two storeys and an attic, with a 2-window front. A 20th-century door is located to the left, set within a concrete lintel. The windows are also 20th-century replacements within original openings, each with a concrete lintel. Quoins are present, and the gables are stone-coped with kneelers. A window on the first floor to the right has been blocked, with a wooden lintel visible. A lower, two-storey extension is attached to the left. Internally, the house has stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops. A stone corner fireplace features a moulded Tudor-arched head and cut spandrels, alongside an open fireplace with a bressumer.
