Description
Lanes End Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1768, constructed from squared coursed limestone with quoins and coped gables. It features a 20th-century tile roof with stone and brick end stacks and has an L-shaped plan. The building stands two storeys plus an attic and has a two-window range of three-light casements, with segmental arches on the ground floor and flat arches on the first floor. There is a 19th-century wooden gabled porch with part-glazed plank doors, along with two 19th-century gabled dormers. A moulded datestone at the center of the first floor is inscribed in bas-relief: 'ET/1768'. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
