Description

This is a house dating from the early to mid 17th century. It is constructed of roughly coursed limestone rubble with smaller quoins and a plinth to the rear. The roof is thatched, featuring a brick ridge stack set upon a stone base. The house has a two-unit plan and comprises one storey plus an attic. There are two windows on the ground floor, these being C20 casement windows with wooden lintels. Above, in the attic, is an 18th-century three-light casement window. A C18 plank door, also with a wood lintel, is centrally positioned. A C20 single-storey extension has been added to the rear. The interior includes chamfered spine beams with ogee stops and two open fireplaces with chamfered bressumers. Original features include some 17th-century plank and muntin doors, along with stone flagged floors.
