Description

STOURTON SP2936 8/125 The Old Bakery 13/10/66 (Formerly listed as The Bakery)

GV II

House. Dated 1695, raised early C19. Squared coursed limestone with quoins and coped gables. C20-tile roof with bases of stone end stacks. 2-unit plan. 3-storey, 2-window range of C19 and C20 casements, those to ground and first floors in openings of original mullioned windows, with hood moulds and labels. 6-panelled door to centre with flat hood. Between first floor windows a moulded datestone inscribed in bas-relief: 'IS/1695'. One-storey stone range to left. Interior not inspected but likely to be of interest.
