Description
Foxcote Farmhouse is a house dating from the early 18th century, with alterations and additions from the 19th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed limestone, featuring quoins and coped gables. The roof is covered with 20th-century tiles and has ashlar ridge and end stacks. The building has two storeys plus an attic and consists of a three-window range with an L-shaped plan.
At the center, there is a six-panelled door with an overlight and a stone lintel. On both the ground and first floors, to the left and right of the door, are four-light mullioned windows with a king mullion. Above the door, there is a two-light mullioned window. In the 18th-century gable to the right, there is a three-light mullioned window. All the mullioned windows feature hood moulds and label stops. Additionally, there is an Oeil-de-boeuf light in the left gable end and in a small 18th-century gable. The right end has further two-light mullioned windows. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
