ILMINGTON SP14SE 3/25 The Downs House

Farmhouse. Mid C18. Squared, coursed limestone with coped gables. Old tile roof with ashlar end stacks. 2 storeys plus attic; 3-window range. 2-unit plan. To centre a doorway with stone lintel. C20 glazed door within C20 greenhouse. To left and right of both floors a C20 three-light casement, that to first floor left in lowered opening. Wood lintels to ground floor windows, stone lintels to first floor windows. Three C20 gabled dormers. C20 windows in gable end. Early C19 stone range to rear. Interior: chamfered spine beams with ogee stops. Large open fireplace with timber bressumer.
