Description
Ebrington Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-18th century, with a later 18th-century extension on the right and a 19th-century extension. The building is constructed from squared limestone and features a limestone slate roof with flat coped gables. The front left corner has rusticated long and short quoins. There are rectangular brick stacks at both the left and right gable ends, with the right side having stacks from the successive extensions. Originally, the cottage had two rooms but has been modified to one room, with extensions on the right side, each containing one room. The main section is two storeys tall with an attic, which is lit by two dormers at the eaves. The central doorway is blocked, and the current door is located off-centre to the right. All windows are from the 20th century, with some featuring horizontal glazing bars, while there is one 18th-century window with original lead and glass at the rear. The 18th-century extension is two storeys high and has a blocked door on the left side. The single-storey 19th-century extension has a plank door on the left and a three-light window on the right, both set under segmental brick arches. The interior has only been partially inspected, focusing on the ground floor.
