Description

Seven Bridges Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble limestone with ashlar quoins and around the windows, topped with a stone slate roof. The building has two storeys and attics, featuring five window bays, along with a two-bay extension to the right that has a lower roof, and a rear wing dairy on the left. There are additional 19th-century extensions to the rear. The central entrance consists of a half-glazed door leading into a through hall, which is sheltered by a bracketed gabled canopy porch. The windows are fitted with plate glass sashes, and there are three gabled dormers adorned with turned finials. The farmhouse has ashlar gable stacks, as well as a gable stack for the extension and the dairy. The left gable displays two hollow moulded string courses, which may be remnants of an earlier building, while the left end originally housed the kitchen.
