Description
This is a barn located at Dunstall Buildings, dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features quoins, with a corrugated asbestos roof. The barn has three bays, and at the center, there is a large opening with a segmental arch that includes a keystone. Above this opening, there is a coped gable topped with a ball finial. Flanking the central opening are two three-lancet windows, with a taller central lancet window in between, all featuring diamond-shaped piercings. On either side of the barn, there are small pillars also topped with ball finials. At the rear, there is a large opening with a brick arch and brick diamond-shaped ventilation holes. Inside, the barn has a stone flagged threshing floor and a queen strut roof with original purlins. The barn serves as an eyecatcher from Foxcote House.
