Description
Tatchbrook House is a house dated 1761, with additions from the mid-19th century. It is constructed from squared coursed limestone, featuring quoins and coped gables. The roof is made of artificial stone-slate, with stone and brick stacks at the ends. The house has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high, plus an attic. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century casements and sashes, which are topped with stone flat arches and keyblocks, along with three gabled dormers. There is a door located in a 20th-century one-storey brick lean-to at the rear. On the right gable end, there is a moulded datestone inscribed in bas-relief: 'J/MM/1761'. At the back, there is an early 19th-century two-storey stone range. Inside, the house features chamfered spine beams with ogee stops and some stone flagged floors.
