Description
Jaques House is a farmhouse dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with quoins and features a stone-slate roof, complemented by stone end and lateral stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The façade includes a two-window range of 19th and 20th-century casements with wooden lintels. In the centre, there is an 18th-century plank door beneath a 19th-century porch. To the left, there is a 20th-century concrete lean-to.
Inside, the ground floor showcases double ovolo-moulded spine beams with moulded stops, along with additional chamfered spine beams and stone flagged floors. The original through-purlin roof remains intact, featuring some 17th-century panelling and a 17th-century door in the attic.
