Description

The Patch is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar and squared coursed rubble, featuring quoins and coped gables. The roof is a combination of stone-slate and 20th-century tiles, with stone and brick stacks at each end. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. It has a three-window range, consisting of 16-pane, 2-light casements with stone flat arches. There is a 20th-century glazed door situated in the center, which is sheltered by a lean-to porch. Additionally, there is a gabled dormer from the 19th century. To the left, there is a small two-storey brick range, also from the 19th century. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
