Description

Hirons Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid-18th century. It is built from coursed limestone rubble and features coped gables. The roof is made of stone-slate and slate, with stone end stacks, one of which has been partially renewed. The farmhouse has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic. The front has a three-window range of 19th-century three-light casements with stone flat arches, and a 19th-century four-panelled door with a flat hood supported by consoles at the center. There are also two 19th-century gabled dormers. To the left, there is a two-storey stone extension from the 19th century with two bays. Inside, the farmhouse is noted for having chamfered spine beams.
