Description
The Old Red Lion is a house, formerly two houses, dating from the 17th and 18th centuries. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with quoins and coped gables. The roof is made of stone-slate and 20th-century tiles, featuring stone ridge and end stacks. The building has a four-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic. The façade includes a six-window range with 17th-century and 20th-century three-light mullioned windows that have hood moulds and labels on the left side, alongside 20th-century casements with wood lintels on the right. There is a 20th-century bay window on the far left, and 20th-century plank doors with wood lintels on both sides. Additionally, there are three 20th-century gabled dormers. Inside, the property features chamfered spine beams and joists.
