Description
Vine House is a house dated 1720, with origins from the 17th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features quoins. The roof is tiled from the 20th century and has stone end stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic, with a two-window range of 20th-century three-light casements that have stone flat arches. There is a 20th-century plank door with a stone flat arch and a hood above it. Above the door, there is a datestone inscribed with 'A/RS/1720'. To the right, there is a 20th-century stone range that is one storey plus an attic, which includes a three-light casement with a stone flat arch. The house also has two 20th-century gabled dormers and a one-storey range added to the rear. Inside, there are chamfered spine beams and joists, along with an open fireplace featuring a heavily-moulded timber bressumer with an ogee stop. There is another open fireplace with a chamfered timber bressumer. The house is included for its group value.
