Description

The Mill House is a mill house, dated 1745. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a plinth, quoins, and a plain storey band. The roof is tiled, with stone end stacks. The building has a three-unit plan. It is two storeys high, plus an attic, and has a three-window front. The ground floor windows are 20th-century three-light casements with original stone flat arches. The first floor windows are 20th-century two-light casements, also with stone flat arches. A small pointed light is located on the far right. A 20th-century plank door is set within a stone flat arch to the centre right. A datestone with a moulded hood above the door is inscribed with "?/1745". There are three 20th-century gabled dormers. A two-storey stone extension, in a style designed to imitate the original, has been added to the left, and a large 20th-century range extends to the rear. The interior is said to have beams on the first floor.
