Description

Green Farmhouse is a 18th-century farmhouse, dated 1721 and repaired in 1840. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with quoins, and has coped gables and a slate roof with stone ridge and end stacks. The building is arranged in an L-shape and has a two-storey, four-window front. The windows are 19th-century, three-light casements with stone flat arches and segmental arches. A 20th-century plank door is set within a segmental arch in the centre of the front. A gable end features a datestone inscribed "W/WA/1721" with a carved angel above, and the apex of the gable has a further datestone inscribed "Repd./AE/1840". Two 20th-century gabled dormers have been added. The interior includes a chamfered spine beam. The building is included for group value.
