Description
The Malt House is a house that was originally a row of cottages, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from coursed and squared limestone rubble and features a thatched roof with brick ridge stacks. The building has an L-shaped plan and is two stories high, with a five-window range that includes 19th and 20th century three-light casements with wooden lintels. The central entrance features a 19th century plank door with a moulded wood surround and a wooden lintel, and there is a round, thatched bread oven extension immediately to the right. At the rear right, there is a stone range that is one storey plus an attic. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
