Description

Church Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a coped gable on the left side. The roof is tiled and from the 20th century, with stone end stacks, one of which on the right has been partially rebuilt in brick. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys plus an attic. It has a two-window range of three-light mullioned windows that include hood moulds and labels. The mullioned window on the first floor to the right retains its original leaded-light casements. A 20th-century plank door is located in an original window opening on the left gable end, which is now part of a 20th-century one-storey extension. The wood mullioned windows and casements are notable features. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
