Description
Hazelreem is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is built from regular coursed and squared limestone and has a corrugated metal roof. The original layout was a two-unit plan, and the house stands two storeys high. The first floor features a two-window range, while the ground floor has a three-window range of 19th-century casement windows. The windows on the right have drip moulds, and those on the left have wooden lintels. There are central two-light stone mullion windows and two-stage buttresses between the windows. The gable parapets and end stacks are made of ashlar. A 20th-century entrance is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have ceiling beams and is said to contain wall painting, which is currently covered.
