Description

Orchard House is an early to mid-18th century farmhouse. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone with a stone-slate roof and stone end stacks. The original design was a 2-unit plan. The front of the house has two storeys and originally two windows, now featuring C19 three-light casement windows and one C20 four-light casement. All windows have wood lintels. A C19 plank door, also with a wood lintel, is located to the right of the entrance. A C20 porch has been added. Later additions include a C20 two-storey stone range to the left and a C19 two-storey range to the right, each featuring three-light casement windows with wood lintels. The interior includes a chamfered spine beam and joists.
