Description

Limes Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid 18th century to the 19th century. It is built of regularly coursed limestone and has an original plain-tile roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall with an attic. The facade features a two-window range of casements with glazing bars beneath wooden lintels. There is a central part-glazed panelled door that is sheltered by a flat bracketed hood. The house has two hipped roof dormers, an ashlar gable parapet with kneelers, and brick stacks at both ends. Attached to the left is a similar two-storey, one-window range from the 19th century, along with a 19th-century wing at the rear. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an 18th-century staircase.
