Description
Park View Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1714, constructed from squared, coursed limestone with ashlar quoins, a storey band, and coped gables. It features a 20th-century tile roof with brick end stacks on stone bases. The building is two storeys high and has a three-window range with a three-unit plan. On both the ground and first floors, there are three-light mullioned and transomed windows on the left and right, and a two-light mullioned and transomed window in the centre. Most windows have 19th-century casements with diamond glazing bars. The first floor centre left displays a datestone inscribed 'WR/1714'.
On the left gable end, there is an additional ?-light mullioned and transomed window with old leaded lights and hood moulds featuring label stops. The right gable end has an 18th-century twenty-four pane sash window with a moulded architrave and hood, along with a two-light mullioned and transomed window below it. A sundial with a moulded hood is also present in the gable.
At the rear, there is a long stone range that is one storey plus an attic, which includes a four-panelled door with an overlight, dormers, and garage doors at the end. This range is likely an original outbuilding that was converted in the 19th century. The gable end has a blocked three-light ovolo-moulded mullioned window. The interior has not been inspected but is expected to be of interest.
