Description
The Lodge is a mid-19th century building designed by J.F. Pritchard. It is constructed from squared, coursed limestone rubble with ironstone banding and ironstone ashlar dressings. The building features a plinth and a coped parapet, topped with a slate roof that has a large stone ridge stack with four polygonal flues and a decorated ridge piece.
The Lodge is two storeys high and has a T-shaped plan with a two-window range. A 20th-century door is located in the angle, set within a glazed 20th-century porch. Above the door is a moulded panel featuring armorial carving. The left gable end has a three-light square-headed window with a hood mould and label stops, and above it, there is a single square-headed casement window, also with a hood mould and label stops. The right gable end features a canted bay and a single square-headed casement window above, both with hood moulds and label stops. All windows are adorned with decorative diamond twist glazing bars. The interior has not been inspected. The Lodge was formerly a lodge to Ettington Hall, which was also designed by J.F. Pritchard.
