Description
Cotswold House is an early 19th-century brick house built in Flemish bond, featuring some pale headers. It has limestone ashlar dressings around the door and window architraves, as well as a stone plinth, quoins, a storey band, and coped gables. The sides and rear wing are constructed from coursed limestone rubble. The roof is made of stone slate and includes brick stacks with ashlar bases. The house has two storeys plus an attic and a three-window range, with a double-depth plan.
At the center, there is a six-panelled door with an overlight, set within a moulded surround supported by Doric columns and topped with a moulded cornice hood. On either side of the door are 12-pane sash windows, also with moulded stone surrounds. The first floor features three similar windows. The rear range includes a round-headed doorway and a tall, round-headed staircase light, along with another 12-pane sash window. All openings have moulded stone surrounds. The interior has not been inspected.
