Description
Talton Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the late 18th century, with an earlier 18th-century range. It is constructed of brick in Flemish garden wall bond, topped with a tile roof and featuring brick end stacks. The building has two storeys and a two-window range, following a two-unit plan. At the center, there is a 19th-century gabled porch that shelters a six-panelled door with a moulded wood surround. Flanking the porch are three-light, 24-pane casements with brick flat arches. On the first floor, there are two 2-light, 16-pane casements. The earlier range to the left is also made of brick, featuring a tile roof and a brick ridge stack. This section has one storey plus an attic and a two-window range, with a plank door that has a brick flat arch. To the left, there is a 2-light casement with a brick flat arch, and two dormers each containing 2-light casements. There are two openings to the left, with the first-floor opening featuring iron glazing bars. The interiors have not been inspected.
